Be humble. Have a brain. Have a heart. Be courageous. You have the power all along.
Know your teacher...
Welcome to fifth grade! What an amazing journey we get to embark on together! You will not believe how much your child will grow this year. We have much planned and I can’t wait to get to know you and your family.
This year marks my 4th year in education. I have taught second, third, and now fifth grade in a Dual Language classroom.
I was born in Puerto Rico and I am fluent in Spanish. I also spent eight years in the Army as a combat medic. I finished my undergraduate work at the University of Texas in San Antonio in 2014 and started teaching at John Glenn ES right after graduation. I met my husband, John, over six years ago and married in 2014. Together we have five children; my oldest son, Diego, enlisted in the Army and is away at boot camp right now. Our other children’s names are Sydney, Gavin, Brisabella, and Solymar. My dog’s name is Simba. We enjoy spending time with family playing board games and chatting up with friends on weekends.
My favorite colors are blue and green. My favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. I love riding my Harley motorcycle across the Hill Country and sometimes you may catch me riding it to school.
